IRIS certification now available in Quebec
through the BNQ!
The BNQ is proud to announce the collaborative
agreement signed with AFNOR (Association
française de normalisation) regarding IRIS
certification (International Railway Industry
Standard). The IRIS standard was developed by
leading international players in the railway
industry. It is based on the ISO 9001 standard
and includes rail-specific quality requirements.
The agreement now allows Quebec-based companies
seeking certification to gain access to local
auditing services.
IRIS certified enterprises will benefit from the
following advantages:
-
International recognition of IRIS
certification;
-
The assurance that requirements and good
trade practices in the rail sector are
properly integrated into their quality
systems;
-
Referencing of certified enterprises in
IRIS’ international database serving to
supply major contract givers;
-
Reduced audit costs;
-
Possibility of obtaining ISO 9001 and IRIS
certification together.
