SCC Accreditation Program

The Bureau de normalisation du Québec offers an assessment service in accordance with ISO 15189 that will lead to an accreditation by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC).

The BNQ assessment of medical laboratories in accordance with ISO 15189 is part of the Partnership Agreement with SCC under the PALCAN program and enables laboratories to get an international recognition.

As of 2007, the Bureau de normalisation du Québec offers, for one, the assessment service in accordance with ISO 15189 leading to the accreditation of private and public medical laboratories. An agreement with assenting organizations facilitates the assessment process to laboratories subjected to applicable requirements.

For further information pertaining to the program, please call Mrs Francine Girard from Bureau de normalisation du Québec at 418 652-2238, extension 2296.
