A new National Standard of
Canada in the field of psychological in the
workplace to be developed.
After finalizing the « Healthy
Enterprise » and « Work-Family Balance » standards,
the BNQ is once again lending its expertise in
standards development to produce a new standard in
the field of psychological health in the workplace.
Currently under development,
the new standard will provide methods to businesses
of any size that will lead to measurable
improvements in psychological in the workplace. The
main objectives targeted by the standard are: to
improve the cost-profit index in Canadian
businesses, to improve risk management and to
promote a sense of social responsibility among
businesses.
It is at the request of and
through the funding of the
Mental Health Commission
of Canada that this standard will be developed. The
standard development work will be undertaken jointly
by the BNQ and the
CSA using the best international
standards development practices now available.
