Certification Offer
Manufacturers may ask the BNQ to recognize the conformance of their pipes and fittings with BNQ 3624-050. To obtain certification of their products, the manufacturers must prove they comply with the standard’s requirements.
General requirements:
Requirements related to thermoplastic (PVC)
General characteristics of the pipes and fittings
Assembly
Special requirements:
Dimensional characteristics, including the location and dimensions of the perforations
Mechanical characteristics (rigidity, crush and shock resistance, quality of fusion bonding of co-extruded multiple smooth wall pipes)
Chemical resistance
Solar radiation protection
Verification of the PVC extrusion quality of the pipes
Verification of the moulding quality of PVC fittings
Marking and handling
This certification program is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada.
